Final Farewell

12/25/17
The kids woke up to what has become a tradition, a crepe paper wall. The kids always love breaking through the wall. This year, they let Kalleigh go first. They are sad that George and Elsa Sparkle have left. The kids will miss them. See you next year.

The letter that the elves left for the kids.

Reindeer Games

12/24/17
Kalleigh and Anthony looked all over the house. They had a hard time finding George and Elsa Sparkle today. They finally found them in the bathtub. They were playing reindeer games with Cathleen, Kalleigh's doll. The kids got to play reindeer games too. So much fun!

Cabinet Funny Business

12/23/17
George and Elsa Sparkle are spreading holiday cheer. They wrapped a bunch of the kitchen cabinets and drawers with wrapping paper. Ironically, the wrapping paper has Christmas cookies and donuts on it. I guess that will teach me for leaving my wrapping paper around. Anthony loves it. He wants to keep it up all year long. 🙄

Stalkers?

12/22/17
We all know that 'he' sees you when you're sleeping, but this was a bit stalkerish! The kids woke up to a wall that was covered with a bunch of different pictures of them sleeping from various nights, along with the lyrics to "Santa Clause Is Coming to Town". Then they found George hanging out on the curtain in the boys' room and Elsa Sparkle was hanging out in Kalleigh's bedroom on her curtain.  I thought they would think that this was really creepy. They loved it!

Musical Chairs

12/21/17
The kids came downstairs this morning and discovered that George and Elsa Sparkle must have been playing musical chairs last night. They thought that it was funny that there were no chairs left at the table for them to sit and eat their breakfast.

Toilet Paper House

12/20/17
The kids came downstairs today and found toilet paper all over the living room. They were so hyper and started chanting and singing, "toilet paper house" over and over. They said that George is still being bad and that Elsa Sparkle had her eyes covered because she didn't want to look at the mess that George made. The kids love the toilet paper and want to keep it up.

Update on the 'mysterious' gifts from yesterday: This morning, Anthony went down to the basement. He insisted that he check to see if the gifts were back. LOL.

Some more highlights from the day...

12/19/17 - Some more highlights from the day...

Anthony came running out of school today. He said that it was the funniest day ever. I asked him what he meant. He told me that when he opened up his homework book, he saw that George wrote a note for him. He thought it was the funniest thing. He was also so excited that his teacher wrote a note back to George. That really made his day. Mrs. Lapinski, you rock!

When the kids walked into the house after school, Kalleigh noticed right away that there were two extra clothespins on the behavior chart. She was happy to see that George was on naughty!!

Later on this evening, the kids were playing hide and seek. Anthony and his cousin, Kaitlyn came running upstairs. They were yelling they found presents from Santa. I played dumb and said he must be seeing things. He insisted that I go downstairs and look. I told him that I would go look after I finished cleaning up the kitchen. In the meantime, I asked CJ to run downstairs and move the presents that they saw. When he saw that I was done cleaning up the kitchen, Anthony made me go downstairs, but the presents weren't there. He was so confused as to where they went. He carried on and described the presents he saw. He described what the different wrapping papers looked like and who they were for. The kids came to the conclusion that maybe George had something to do with this. All I can say is that CJ saved the day!!

Candy Cane Jail

12/19/17
Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. That's Elsa Sparkle's motto! She is guarding the jail and making sure that George pays for what he did to the kids' gingerbread house. The kids thought this was a great punishment for George. Kalleigh was very happy!

Bad Boy

12/18/17
Elsa Sparkle means business with that plug in her hand. 'Someone' broke the gingerbread house and it looks like Elsa Sparkle put that 'someone' in the blender since he was a bad boy! When the kids found the elves this morning, Kalleigh was soooo upset. She kept insisting that I throw them in the garbage. Anthony thought it was funny and started to eat the house.

She is not happy! He's like yum. Let's eat it!

Easy Elf Oven

12/17/17
It took the kids a while to find the elves this morning. Eventually, Kalleigh found them hiding in the oven in her play kitchen. She was so excited that they brought them a gingerbread house. She was little impatient and tried to get the gingerbread house out without touching them, but that didn't work. She accidentally touched George, so we had to get out the cinnamon and sprinkle him. Hopefully, he will be fine and didn't lose his magic. She sprinkled Elsa Sparkle too, just to be on the safe side.

Pizza Party

12/16/2017
It looks like George and Elsa Sparkle had some fun last night. Maybe a little too much fun since they look like they have a bellyache and are holding their stomach. Maybe next time they won't eat so much.

Trapped

12/15/2017
Wow. I'm not too sure what George did to get Elsa Sparkle mad or they are just playing, but the kids thought this was so funny. They had a really hard time finding them today. In fact, I am the one that found them when I opened the cabinet to get my coffee mug. I screamed when I opened the door and the kids came running. Kalleigh was yelling for me to help George and Anthony was yelling for me to leave him there. I told Anthony, "That's not nice." He said that he was okay and if he really wanted to get out, he could.

Magic Wand

12/14/17
George and Elsa Sparkle were hiding in the Christmas tree today. They were towards the back so the kids had a hard time finding them. As soon as they found them, they got super excited because they saw that they brought them a magic wand. Anthony remembered that they had one two years ago, but they broke it. Hopefully, they take better care of this one.

Here's a cute little video clip. I'm sorry about the video being sideways. I grabbed my phone so quick and held my camera the wrong way.

If you are wondering what this magic wand is called, here is a picture of the box:

Leaning Tower of Cardboard

12/13/17
The kids' eye lit up when they found George and Elsa Sparkle in the kitchen today. They built a cardboard tower from floor to ceiling out of cardboard boxes. Anthony noticed that Elsa Sparkle's apron says, "I love my family." He thought that was great. Kalleigh thought that Elsa Sparkle's chef hat was funny.

Pajama Party

12/12/17
The kids had a hard time finding the elves today. They looked all over the house and then finally went back into their rooms to search. When Kalleigh walked into her room and spotted George and Elsa Sparkle in the doll bed, she screamed (She had gotten dressed and ready for school and never even saw them). Anthony noticed right away that the elves were wearing matching pajamas and that matching pajamas were under the doll bed for Kalleigh and him.

Love is in The Air

12/11/17
George and Elsa Sparkle decorated our door. When Anthony saw it, he asked if it was Valentine's Day. I told him that it is my wedding anniversary with daddy. I said, "I wonder how they knew." Kalleigh said, "I bet Santa told them."

And.... the kids were excited that their letters from yesterday were on the tree this morning!

Letters to Santa

12/10/17
George and Elsa Sparkle look like they are so happy that the tree is finally decorated. The sign says, "Thank you" and George is doing a handstand. They even brought the kids a little gift. They received a book called, 'Letters to Santa' and some of Santa's Special Paper that transforms their letters into keepsake ornaments.

Check out what they did with their gift:

s
Writing on 'Santa's Special Paper'.

She may not look excited, but trust me, she is very excited!

Their finished letters to Santa.

They're watching their letters shrink.

Wow. Look how small the letters are now!

The kids noticed that Elsa Sparkle is in their book! She's even wearing the same skirt!
"Wow. She's famous!!"

There they are. The letters are ready to be sent to the North Pole.

They wanted to take a picture with their elves!

We think that might be George in the book too. That's so awesome that we have famous elves!

Begging Elves

12/9/17
George and Elsa Sparkle have resorted to getting on their kneees and begging for us to decorate the tree. They haven't moved from the tree. We think that they are sad because the tree is still not decorated. At least they remembered their manners today. The kids got a kick out of their hands clasped together.

Demanding Elves

The tree is still not decorated. George and Elsa Sparkle are not happy about this. They are getting a little impatient. There is a light up sign in the tree that is demanding that it gets decorated NOW. The kids didn't see to care that the tree isn't decorated yet.

Elf Fort

12/7/17
George and Elsa Sparkle built a fort and were hanging out inside of it. When the kids found them this morning, they saw right away that there was another advent calendar too. The elves wrote a note and said it was for CJ since he was kind enough to give his advent calendar to Kalleigh yesterday. Anthony said that the elves built a better fort than he does. They loved it.

"It Wasn't Us"

12/6/17
George and Elsa Sparkle look pretty guilty with that chocolate all over their faces. The kids' first reaction when they saw the advent calendars was, 'finallyyy!' They were wondering if they were going to get advent calendar this year. Then they saw that one of the advent calendars had no chocolate in it. George and Elsa Sparkle had eaten every single piece. We came to the conclusion the empty one must be Kalleigh's because she had a little temper tantrum last night. Naturally, she was upset that the elves ate her candy, but CJ was kind enough to tell her that she can have his. They opened the calendars and started eating some chocolate since they had some catching up to do. As Kalleigh opened the one that CJ gave her, she shared a few pieces with him. I'm sure this made the elves very happy to see that she was sharing.

They're Getting Antsy

12/5/17
George & Elsa Sparkle are getting a little antsy! They want the tree decorated. The kids loved the light up sign. They thought that it was funny that the elves were sitting there with some of the ornaments. They put a few of them on the tree and said that they will do more after school. I guess we’ll see how much they get done. I wouldn’t count on it being finished today.

Disappointed Elves

12/4/17
George and Elsa Sparkle brought 'the sign' back and put everyone in the house on 'Danger'. No one knows what they did so we think that they must be because they are disappointed that the tree isn't decorated yet. We know that they do love when the house is festive. No one was really amused today. Kalleigh said, "It's not my fault. No one helped me decorate!"

A Little Reminder

12/3/17
Yesterday Kalleigh wanted to decorate the Christmas tree. So I went into the attic and got a container of ornaments for her. As you can see, she didn’t get very far. Since there were so many ornaments left in the container, George and Elsa Sparkle decided to play a little hide and seek in there. Maybe it would give her a little reminder to finish. Just as I suspected, none of the kids were amused when they found the elves this morning and It didn't seem to motivate anyone to put any more ornaments on the tree.

Underwear Tree

12/2/17
That's just nassty! George and Elsa Sparkle put the kids' underwear all over the tree. I guess this wouldn't happen if we would put the decorations on it. When the kids saw what George and Elsa Sparkle did, they didn't think it was funny. Ha Ha Ha!! #ElfOnTheShelf
